6th Alumni Reunion of UET Taxila was organized on Saturday April 15, 2017 at main campus, UET, Taxila. It was a remarkable event in the history of UET, Taxila. More than 1000 alumni were attended the event. They were appreciated the efforts made by UET administration and Alumni team to organize such a successful event and provide them an opportunity to revive their memories and to connect with alumni and their Alma Mater. They also expected to attend such events in future.
The event was started with recitation from the Holy Quran. The worthy Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. Niaz Ahmad Akhtar welcomed the guests and shared some valuable memories from his life experience. He highlighted the importance of updating the knowledge for an engineer. He shared the progress and future development plans of UET, Taxila during his tenure for uplifting the University in higher ranks.
The guest of honor for the event was Engr. Hafeezullah K. Niazi. He appreciated the efforts of university administration to organize such a wonderful event and shared his affiliation with UET, Taxila. He shared the memories of his student life in UET, Taxila. He also shared his proud feelings to be there as a chief guest and got an opportunity to re-connect with his Alma Mater.
The ceremony of distributing the gold medals, shields and certificates among eminent alumni was also held to encourage and appreciate their role in socio-economic development of the country. The ex-vice chancellors and retired professors of UET, Taxila were honored with shields for their contribution in the development of university. Dr. Nabeel Hayat Chairman NESCOM shared his views after receiving Gold Medal. Other Alumni Members also shared their feelings voluntarily.
Prof. Dr. Mumtaz Ahmed Kamal, President, Alumni showed his feelings of gladness for taking the association to such a remarkable height. He also shared the memories of his past days in UET, Taxila. He got emotional to revive the old times of UET, Taxila by sharing some memorable events with the guests. He discussed the mission and objectives of the alumni association. He shared the future plans of the association with the guests and launched the plan of construction of alumni center at UET, Taxila.
The lunch was served in a pleasant environment. After that cricket match was played between alumni and officials of UET, Taxila.

5th Reunion of UET Taxila Alumni was organized on Saturday January 14, 2017 at Royal Palm Golf & Country Club, Lahore. Senior Alumni from Session (1975-1981) were participated in the memorable evening. Objective of the event was to on board the most senior alumni of UET, Taxila at Alumni Association forum to get their active involvement in achieving association’s objectives. It was remarkable step taken by Alumni Association to connect experienced senior alumni from pioneer badges of UET, Taxila.
The new executive body of the association was elected in this event. Alumni Members appreciated the efforts made by the President Alumni Association, Prof. Dr. Mumtaz Ahmed Kamal and placed their confidence in the chair by electing him for another three years, Tenure. Engr. Muhammad Khalid Sheikh (76-CE-36) was elected as Vice President. Engr. Najmus Saqib Rehmani (81-ME-55) was elected as Joint Secretary. Prof. Dr. Aftab Ahmad was elected as Finance Secretary. Prof. Dr. Tahir Nadeem Malik was elected as General Secretary. Prof. Dr. Adeel Akram, was elected as executive member from Taxila. It was decided that the positions of General Secretary, Finance Secretary and one executive member would be elected among the faculty of UET, Taxila. The members for the rest of the positions will be elected through elections, after every three years.
Four Regional Chapters were declared and following focal persons were nominated to promote further networking of alumni in coordination with Alumni Association.

President Alumni Association Prof. Dr. Mumtaz Ahmed Kamal appreciated the participants for their presence at the event. He informed about the new initiatives taken by the association and requested for financial assistance from well off alumni for university endowment fund which will be utilized for the assistance of deserving students and also for merit based scholarships.

4th Alumni Reunion was organized on May 16th 2015 at hotel Margala Islamabad. More than 200 alumni from senior as well as recently graduated batches attended the reunion evening. President alumni association Prof.Dr.Mumtaz Ahmad Kamal gave detailed briefing about the initiatives of the association and emphasized the objective of the reunion to promote and establish mutually beneficial relationships between the University, its alumni and other key stake holders from academic, professional and social sectors. It was remarkable step taken by Alumni Association to connect experienced senior and junior alumni with each other. Industrialist, Executive officers of top ranked companies of Pakistan were invited as alumni. In order to promote further networking and coordination regional level reunions will be organized at Multan and Faisalabad chapters in the next months.
Governor KPK Eng. Shaukat Ullah was guest of honor of the evening as alumnus of the university. He recalled golden memories of UET Taxila life and appreciated the efforts of the association for organizing reunions frequently for the promotion of linkages among taxalains. Eng. Shakeel Akhtar created delightful environment with his wonderful style of hosting.
Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr.Niaz Ahmad Akhtar highlighted the innovative programs of the university including development schemes and research initiatives. He offered all alumni to show their ownership for university matters with due participation and involvement. He also emphasized that Alumni should visit university even once in a year to show their active participation in research and academic matters of university and be an active part of various academic and administrative bodies of the university. They can bring various new idea projects for the betterment of the university.
Mushaira was organized at the end for the creation of literary element in the evening. The Vice Chancellor presented university souvenirs to poets at the end.

3rd Reunion of UET Taxila Alumni was organized on Saturday April 26, 2014 at Avari, Lahore. More than 350 alumni of UET Taxila since from 1st batch participated in the memorable evening. Objective was the facilitation, linkage and liasoning development of alumni with their alma mater to promote and establish mutually beneficial relations ship between the University, its alumni and other key stake holders for academic, professional and social sectors. It was remarkable step taken by Alumni Association to connect experienced senior and junior alumni with each other. Industrialist, Executive officers of top ranked companies of Pakistan were invited as alumni. Five Gold medals on merit bases were announced by CEO’s various leading industries of Pakistan. Focal persons were nominated as regional coordinators of alumni association, they will promote further networking of alumni in coordination with UET Alumni Association.
President Alumni Association Prof.Dr.Mumtaz Ahmed Kamal appreciated the efforts of the team for holding a successful get together. He launched some new programs of the association and requested for financial assistance from well off alumni for university endowment fund which will be utilized for the assistance of deserving students and also for merit based scholarships.
Vice Chancellor UET, Lahore, General Muhammad Akram khan was guest of honor of the ceremony, he emphasized the pivotal role of Alumni for their alma mater and appreciated the efforts of UET ,Taxila for getting back of alumni towards their parent institute.
Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr.Muhammad Abbas Chaudhary highlighted the core objectives of alumni association to convene alumni evening and he offered all alumni to show their ownership for university matters with due participation and involvement. He also emphasized that Alumni should visit university even once in a year to show their active participation in research and academic matters of university and be an active part of various academic and administrative bodies of the university. They can bring various projects for the betterment of the university.
Prof. Ahsan Iqbal, Federal Minister and Deputy Chairman Planning Commission was the chief guest of the ceremony. He appreciated the efforts of Alumni Association, UET, Taxila and the step taken to unite alumni at one place. He emphasized the importance and role of such kind of forums as creation of strong bond between alumni and university, he also emphasized that to increase contributions for the empowerment of the university, as in west the biggest donation is available in the form of alumni funds which have diversed utility for the bona fide students. In the end Chief Guest distributed shields among alumni committee members and key persons from alumni as token of acknowledgment for their efforts for alumni association.
